My first visit was wonderful and I came away with different things after a conversation with a staff member excited to make a start. The same for the next visit, it was shortly after that I was loaded down with so many things and felt so overwhelmed, confused and pushed into buying products I neither wanted nor understood.
They do have an incredible range of products and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful but the pushiness was too much.
Great service of offering free SMS in return for viewing offers and filling in surveys. I first used this several years ago then returned recently when I got a new phone. Helps with keeping phone costs down which is always handy and I've been pleased with the speedy delivery of messages
On a day when it was terrible weather outside and the wind was doing crazy things I had my first experience of the Sandstone Cafe. I arrived just in time to still be able to order a "breakfast" meal which was tasty. The only downside was a terrible smell in the cafe on the day I was there (not sure what was going on there and the friend I was with hadn't experienced it on her previous visits)
I enjoyed the experience of ordering fries here especially seeing (and tasting some of) the range of sauces. I only tried the fries on my visit but was hearing positive comments about their burgers from a friend a view days ago so might try one another time
I've been to several different Just Cut stores in the past and find that I've experienced the longest wait times at the Waurn Ponds store. Very busy which is great for them but not so great when you are wanting a quick haircut which is the main reason for choosing Just Cuts. The dvd players for children to watch might be a great idea for children and their parents however the volume playing was very loud for me and not pleasant. Reasonable haircut service for a reasonable price
When shopping after recovering from a recent illness I found myself in Belmont in desperate need of something to drink. The answer was found in the Belmont Panache where I ended up with a chocolate milkshake and some kind of apple and cinnamon crepe that was the perfect remedy for the tiredness I was feeling. Nicest dessert crepe I think I remember having
I've used Civic many times in the past and once again was hoping to borrow a particular movie recently. There were no copies left on the shelf however a staff member found one that had been recently returned. Sadly the movie itself ended up being terrible and I only lasted watching it for ten minutes however that is no reflection on Civic Video itself. Friendly staff and a good selection of videos although sadly smaller than a few years ago
Fantastic place for purchasing books. The free postage to Australia makes this a great service and often I can find books that just aren't available otherwise or if they are require a long wait. Recently there was a mixup with an order and I was sent the wrong items. Thankfully the customer service was a great help in setting this straight and my correct order arrived soon after
I recently needed to get my eyes checked and purchase new glasses so decided to try specsavers. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment to look through the displays of glasses available however found that I was able to go straight through to the optometrist. Several checks were made along with the typical eyesight and lens adjustment and it all went fairly smoothly; I even saw a photo of the inside of my eye (scary stuff!).
I did end up needing new glasses and went back out to the shop front to find a pair (actually two thanks to my health insurance deal with specsavers). There I was confronted by a very pushy salesperson who directed my choice and left me feeling very rushed and unsure as to whether it was really the frames I wanted. I ended up with two frames that were the same apart from a slight colour change and was able to collect them about 10 days later. What was interesting in collecting is that despite being told that the frames were the same one pair feels lighter and never feels as good when wearing the glasses. They are still a great option but I'd have prefered to have taken time to make my choice and without being pushed
My favourite panache restauraunt out of those I've visited and also the one I've visited most because of the great movie money deals they offer through being located next to Readings Cinemas. Wonderful place to enjoy lunch either before or after a movie. I keep planning to try one of their sweet crepes however give in instead to having my old favourite choices of either the seafood or the chicken kiev crepe. Nice simple food that is great tasting. Could do with a different salad selection but otherwise it's all good
