Great location, you can walk there from Sovereign Hill accommodation. The food was fine, though nothing to really get excited about. Also a nice setting.

I have bought and sold using Nevett Ford. The lawyer who dealt with my case was very thorough, took the time to answer any stupid questions I could think of, and checked that I would not get 'caught out' by adding in some contract specifications.
Delicious, great variety and helpful (patient!) staff. Price is about in line with other ice cream shops. Central location.
Not particularly wonderful, mainly second hand goods that you would find in an op shop, with some good stands selling the usual goat milk soap and sausages.
This is pretty much the only place in Ballarat you can get Asian groceries without heading down to Melbourne. The prices are okay, and they stock quite a broad range from various Asian countries. If they don't have what you want then the lady will order it for you.
I cannot get enough of this bread. Although it is quite sweet, it's cheap and you can just keep on eating their delicious sweet/savoury snacks. Also the Taro loaves are amazing.
Approximate cost: $5
I go there for the Guinness, which is reliably good. Has a fairly convincing English atmosphere, though can get a bit trashy when busy.
Cannot fault the food, delicious and rich Thai food, particularly the mussaman curry (my favourite). It's BYO, but even then works out a little expensive, although Ballarat restaurants do tend to be pricier.

Dennis gave us excellent advice on what we needed, and the price seemed reasonable. Very well stocked.
Not a cheap day out but well worth a visit at least once, a lot of effort has been made by everyone to make a fun and 'authentic' atmosphere.
