Despite the fact that dental procedures are rarely enjoyable experiences, Stephen Langford's is quite a comfortable place. The reception area is relaxing (with fish tanks) and the staff are friendly and professional.
Although it seems a little like an op-shop, the clothes are quite nice. The quality of some is not overly high, but good enough for day-to-day wear. However, we bought shoes for a wedding here (planning to wear them only once) and they were pretty and inexpensive. There are also nice children's 'formal' wear at low costs.

We dined on an overly quiet weeknight, and were one of only three groups eating here. The staff were very focused and genuine. We allowed the meals to be chosen for us and were given a rundown on each course by the waiter. The food was excellent and varied, with a huge variety of tapas-style entres. Highly recommended.
I have been here a few times and the food has always been great. The acoustics are not the best when the restaurant is full so it gets quite noisy. Parking is poor close to the restaurant but the food is worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Thai food.
I can't believe more ice-cream places haven't picked up on the idea of mixing in toppings. It is so simple but completely worth the price. The ice-creams themselves are priced about average but each mix-in is an extra 80c. I would recommend this to anyone as a treat, but definitely not something you'd want to do every day if you care about your health.
Love this place in summer. I think they close early during winter. There are so many unique flavours that I never get sick of this place. I often go here to pick up dessert for the family or pick a cone up for myself on the way home. You can get mixed flavour take-home packs.
This is the most upmarket florist in town. They have very nice arrangements (where the others just sell standard bunches) but the prices are also much more expensive. They do sell out quickly on holidays or special days like mothers day.
It was raining when we went to the Fitzroy Gardens so we decided to visit Cooks Cottage to get out of the rain for a bit. The man at the gate was very friendly despite the miserable weather. The cottage itself was a nice discovery, as were the gardens within. There was even a place to have your photo taken 'wearing' olden days clothing. The gift shop was nice and still informative as it had the maps of Cooks voyages on an interactive wall display. A good place to take kids who are learning about Captain Cook.
My table ordered a brushetta-style entree which was excellent. I almost wished I had ordered it as a main because by the time my meal came out I felt full. The main I had was alright but didn't compare to the starter. They also have very nice cocktails and the desserts sound nice (though I couldn't fit one in). The walls are lined with photographs by local artists.
Just off Sandy Bay road, Don Camillo's is a little Italian restaurant that serves good food, good drinks and excellent deserts. In the small building they have managed a nice atmosphere that many don't. The restaurant is lively and full without being too noisy or seeming busy.
