This review is for Kefi Greek Cuisine, Glenelg North SA

This is one of my favourite Greek Restaurants. The best part is they do take-away as well as dine in. Firstly for dine-in guests the venue is very small and I can guarantee you will not be a metre away from the table next to you. If you wish to talk privately, this will be hard. However the food is spectacular. Fresh & tasty and I love the Meat platter for 2. For take-away, order in advance and you may have to wait inside which is very squishy. I love their grilled prawns and also the Sakanaki cheese!! Is a local restaurant of mine and I would recommend others to go.

This review is for Zucca, Glenelg SA

This is a very classy and high end restaurant in Glenelg. The food is simply beautiful but can be small portions if you order individual meals. I normally order shared platters as you do tend to get more food on the plate. However being Greek myself, the atmosphere is fantastic as Greek music plays and the service is great. Bar and toilets are in the middle of the restaurant, which I found quite interesting. This is because there are tables & chairs nearest to the beach and also close to the marina pier. Would highly recommend but is quite expensive.

Approximate cost: $35.00

LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. This restaurant has fantastic food and I would highly recommend the pasta dishes. The place is old and vintage and very Italino where even the waiters are quite elderly and do accept tips. Very authentic Italian restaurant and the experience from when we walked into the door, until I left was enjoyable. Reasonably priced and not a bad wait on food time.

Approximate cost: $28.00

This review is for HQ Nightclub, Adelaide SA

verified email - 08 Aug 2012

HQ is a great nightclub only because it is the biggest in Adelaide. The venue is on a corner with about 5 different dance rooms within. The drinks are very expensive and it does take a long time to get served. The multi-tiered main area is very cool though and this venue can be very FULL. So squishy, its hard to move around. The music is always good, but I find the crowd is very young and full of 18 year olds. I am past my HQ days, however for a night out to dance, I would highly recommend.

This review is for Garage, Adelaide SA

Garage is ok, but not one of my favourite places to go out clubbing.f The venue itself is very grungy and old and does not get busy until really late like 1.00am. The bar staff are very slow and because the music is so loud you have to scream for your drink order. Music is good depending on the DJ playing but there is a small stage with couch areas people can get up and dance on. $10.00 p/p entry at door.

This review is for Dog & Duck Alehouse, Adelaide SA

Dog & Duck is great and I do tend to come here after work to relax and enjoy friends company. The venue is very long and skinny with a large "L" shaped bar right in front when you walk in. There is also an upstairs area, however I tend to stay downstairs. Very popular on Friday nights and there is a line up at the front.

This review is for Red Square Bar & Lounge, Adelaide SA

verified email - 08 Aug 2012

Red square is a great club that is always busy and has the latest pop music. The bouncers are quite funny and I paid $10.00 to get in one Saturday night. The music is very popular and everyone in Adelaide seems to know Red Square. It can get very very crowded inside, which does make it hard to go toilet or to the bar, or even outside.

This review is for Empire Pool Lounge, Adelaide SA

verified email - 08 Aug 2012

This pool lounge is quite cool and there are lots of tables, but you should book in advance as it can get very busy. The tables inside do seem a little old & tatty and obviously have been used a lot. The staff are lovely but they do have a bouncer outside. Loud music plays inside. The pool lounge is opposite McDonalds & HQ where there is many clubbing youngsters hanging around.

This review is for The Cavern, Adelaide SA

verified email - 08 Aug 2012

I think the Cavern Club is not too bad but there may be some room for improvement. Firstly the club entrance is off the main road and you have to go down steps to enter the club. It is very dark inside and hard to read the menus. I have been here for live bands, which is a good venue but the floor I find is always sticky.

This review is for Crown Casino, Southbank VIC

verified email - 08 Aug 2012

Crown Casino is a fabulous Casino! Not only does it have a central location, but the casino is so large. In the foyer there is always a themed entrance with water shows occurring constantly. The Casino its self is very busy all the time and there are so many different areas. A couple of nice and funky bars inside and lots of Roulette tables.
