One of the better night time hot spots in Perth. Kind of a hybrid between a club and pub, Carnegies has a great mix of new songs and those old classics we all love. There are standing, sitting and dancing areas on both levels as well as adequate sized bars so you don't have to wait too long for drinks (all of which are pretty well priced for clubs).
AQWA really is under-appreciated by West Australians. It's a big aquarium full of fun an interesting stuff to see. The touch pool has plenty to get the kids some hands on entertainment and seeing those unimaginably massive rays, sharks and fish is quite humbling. The outdoor areas with seal and dolphin shows are quite entertaining as well.
For a whale of a time! This place is surprisingly decent considering most pubs around the area have a decidedly "bogan" crowd. As the name suggests they have a good choice of ales for the beer lovers which can be consumed with one of their excellent and very well priced meals. Well worth the drive.
Really nice food in a neat yet casual surrounding. I had a chicken, camembert & avo roll which was very large, fresh tasted like it had very good ingredients and cost me $9.50. You can take away or dine in. The staff are friendly and there's a very relaxed atmosphere inside the cafe.
Pretty decent Chinese food all served in the authentic steam boxes. The setting is a bit more modernised and clean than most Chinese restaurants. Also features some nice views out over the Swan River. As with most Chinese restaurants the bill wont give you any frights, the price is worth the qaulity
One of the very best pizza joints in town. They have a very neat store and some pretty cool and interesting topping combinations to choose from (all of the ones I've tried so far have been great). A little on the pricey side but the serving size and quality more than makes up for this.
A nice place to sit and relax at any time of day and any day of the week. The beer is okay - nothing flashy but it's certainly better than the mainstream lagers everyones used to. While the food is expensive the daily specials are very, very good. If you stick with them you'll have plenty of money left in the wallet. The burgers there are the best!
Good authentic Greek diner. Service is really friendly, and of course - being Greek - a little on the loud side. The souvlaki is absolutely brilliant - big serving sizes at decent prices. Haven't found a better Greek restaurant in Perth yet.
Surely one of the best placed cafes in Australia. Perched on top of the mountain Scope has incredible views over the valley and Canberra below. Fashioned out of the old observatory the cafe offers a brilliant choice of food, wine and beers in a neat, casual setting. A great reward for getting yourself up the mountain!
Well it's free for starters so that is always good. There is heaps of trails for walkers and riders of all different skill levels and adventurous spirits. Going uphill is tiring and rewarding, going downhill really gets the adrenaline pumping. Great views from the top and a host of professional riders to help you out if needed.
