We called Jason to service our heat pump in the lead up to winter to ensure it is running to maximum efficiency.

The unit hadn't been serviced in the 12 months we've owned the house and we had no idea prior to that.

Jason was fantastic. He turned up on time, cleaned up after himself (it's kind of scary the amount of muck that builds up in these things over time) and also provided some great tips on getting the best out of your heat pump.

I'd happily recommend Jason to anyone with a heat pump. Give him a call and tell him Sparkesy sent ya.

We engaged James from KOA Landscapes to supply & install some "Bistro Blinds" on the BBQ area at our new home. We needed it done in a hurry as we were hosting a housewarming party very soon after.

When presented with what we required, James not only amazed us by coming out late on a Sunday afternoon to measure up for the quote, he provided the quote within 24 hours and indicated he could meet our timeframe comfortably.

When the quote came in it was well within our budget and significantly lower than other quotes we had looked at for the same job.

James' punctuality to ensure our deadline was met was fantastic, sometimes working in less than ideal weather in order to get the job finished.

I cannot fault his workmanship and we will certainly be using KOA Landscapes for future projects in our yard.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I was looking for a nice place to take my wife for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary so I jumped on WOMOW and checked out restaurants in the Hobart area. In doing so I found "Shippie's as it is affectionately known by locals."

I called and booked as it was reputed to be a fairly busy venue. Upon arrival I was a little disappointed initially as it took a little while for the staff to acknowledge us and direct us to our table, however, once we were there, it was all positive.

After reading some of the reviews, I anticipated a bit of a wait for our meals to be served, but were pretty happy with the timings. The wait was no more or less than I'd expect in any similar busy venue.

The food was fantastci. I went for the Cajun Chicken breast with a Mustard Aioli, and my wife went for the Mushroom Risotto and both were sensational. The serves were generous and good value for money.

I'll certainly be dining here again, and I wouldn't have known about it without WOMOW.

I took my wife here for brunch as part of an anniversary surprise after receiving some pretty strong recommendations. Whilst brunch at a cafe is a reasonably standard event, I had a special request that I needed to have accommodated, so I fired off an email to see if they could help.

Being a public holiday, I didn't expect an immediate response, so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I received a phone call from Janine the same evening to help me organise what was required.

Because I was wishing to surprise my wife by having flowers pre-delivered to the Cafe, and then have them delivered to the table when we ordered, I needed to make sure that the staff were OK with this and that I wouldn't cause any inconvenience to staff or other patrons.

Janine was helpful and enthusiastic about the surprise, even recommending a local florist that she could walk to and pick up the flowers should they be unable to deliver.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Janine and Bernie and served some fantastic coffee and delicious toasted sandwiches. The atmosphere in the renovated chapel was amazing and it was an extremely relaxing environment. It was no surprise that they have a strong clientele of "regulars".

If you're in the area, I strongly recommend stopping in to the Patchwork Cafe.

Stumbled on this place almost by accident when we were holidaying in Melbourne earlier this year. Looking for a quick dinner but nothing on the room service menu appealed so we headed out and found Dom's.

The food was fantastic. I had the Schnitzel with a pepper gravy - nice and spicy just the way I like it. My wife had a pizza and that was pretty good too.

The serves were enormous, so much that we had to skip dessert.

The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful and the value for money was excellent.

I'll definitely return for a meal next time I'm in the Highett area.

A bit of a hidden treasure in the hubbub of the CBD this place is fantastic for coffee and a snack. Well priced food & coffee, free WiFi and also friendly service it's fantastic.

I also love the fact you can pre-order your lunch via their website so it's ready for you to collect and if you order for the whole week you can even get a special rate. Very handy if you work in the area and are pressed for time on your lunch break!

Dining here is really like stepping back in time to a home cooked meal from Mum or Grandma - only in a buffet style. The decor is pretty dated, but the nautical theme seems to just work.

The food is well prepared and very tasty though the service can sometimes be a little slow - a side effect of having friendly hosts who are happy to have a chat with their customers.

Certainly worth a try if you want to go somewhere nice with the family.

To be honest, there are probably better pizzas in the area, but the difference is these guys sell it by the slice. Handy if you're looking for a quick bite rather than a big feed.

There's not a huge variety on the menu, but that seems to suit the way the operate. If you're selling by the slice, I guess you don't want too many varieties going stale in the warmer.

Not bad value, the service can be a bit hit & miss. The last time I went in, I actually left due to lack of acknowledgement whilst awaiting service, but the time before that was OK.

I'll probably use them again for convenience, but they're not high on my list in order of preference.

Always friendly, always fresh, these guys are fantastic. The only downside is that these guys are so popular, it's not always easy to get a parking space outside the shop beforfe you hit the highway.

Pretty much your standard take away fare, fish & chips, burgers, pies. Popular with the early morning tradies you know they must be provideing reasonable quality and value as well.

Highly Recommended

This really is your typical food court coffee shop. The food isn't bad, but it isn't fantastic. Service is much the same. If you're hungry and want a coffee and a bite, there's nicer places around but it's better than Maccas
