Bar Merlo in Brisbane is a great place to go for a smooth, warming coffee and some light snacks, sandwiches and cakes. The cafe uses coffee from their own roasting house in Fortitude Valley and is open for breakfast and lunch every weekday.

Excellent coffee! I get one here most mornings before work, and it is the perfect start up for the day. Excellent selection of cafe foods, muffins etc. Staff are always chirpy and happy in the mornings.

I like the casual atmosphere and the good location. Can get busy at times, but one always expects that at a cafe in the city. The coffee is always good. I don't eat cake, but the sweets are always well presented and look good.

I had my party here and this place really did a fantastic job. Perfect for a small wedding or birthday/engagement/christening, this place caters for breakfast, high tea, lunch and dinners for a reasonable price. I love the old Queenslander look of it, and it has a beautiful view out over the botanic gardens.

I meet a lot of clients here as it is a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they always serve great coffee. both a gift shop and cafe, offering a range of trinkets and soul soothing publications for sale.

The name says it all really! Cafe Pronto - the coffee is always served pronto! Excellent range of standard Cafe foods. Friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Cafe is always clean and tables are always clean.

This is the place to take your Mum for afternoon tea. It's the perfect little ladies cafe that does beautiful tea and scones. It always seems very busy so I am unsure if you need to book, but it's definatly worth a visit next time you are in town

One of my favourite restaurants in Brisbane! A cozy atmosphere mixed with fantastic food. The ambience is what really makes this place special. The brick walls and artwork on the walls make it feel really homey and comfortable. Will definitely be going back again soon

Great tasting pizza's and Italian food. They cafe was very modern and a great place to meet up with friends. The service was very fast and the food was delicious. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner.

I had never been to a portuguese restaurant that was not all about traditional dishes. I have to say that this was different, from the moment we walked in there we new we were in a special place.The food,the service,the atmosphere,the decor, these guys have it going on.This is definetly a place we'll keep going back specially if they keep having entertainment.Portuguese food with a modern twist alright and value for money. I hope they can keep it up...
