This review is for Thai Splendid, Miranda NSW

Thai Splendid is a relatively recent addition to Miranda Westfield (the space was previously an Arizonas). I have eaten here a couple of times with my boyfriend and we have enjoyed it both times. It's large, often crowded with pre/post cinema-goers and the food is impressive. Suggest booking on a Friday or Saturday night (and try for a table in the downstairs section).

This review is for My Valet Dry Cleaning, Pyrmont NSW

My workplace registered with my valet some time ago but I only tried it recently and was quite impressed. You register and pay for your dry cleaning online, noting any special requirements and garment types. You leave the items in a designated area and they come and pick them up, and return them within 2 business days (depending on time of order being placed). They even provide a personal garment bag for you to leave your items in and have them returned. A simple, painless process. They also offer other services including alterations, but haven't tried these myself.

Approximate cost: $pants from 8.80

This review is for Hing Loong Dressmaking Services, Riverwood NSW

I have had a few items altered here - from taking up pants to shortening the straps on a cocktail dress. Another customer once told me that the dressmaker is the best she's ever found. Everyone I know who has had work done there has been happy with the service, the quality and the value.

This review is for Monte Carlo Pizzeria, Riverwood NSW

Monte Carlo Pizzeria has been a Riverwood institution for years. I remember going there as a child, and still go there occasionally or pickup/get them delivered. Good quality, tasty pizzas. Favourites are Ned Kelly with Bacon, Four Seasons, Vegetarian and Monte Carlo Special. Plenty of toppings, salads are great value and generous. For a local, casual, pizza meal with a friend, family or group, you can't get bettter in this area.

This review is for Inaka Japanese Restaurant, Peakhurst NSW

This is a regular local dining favourite of my family. The food is tasty, fresh and consistently delicious. We almost have a set menu - yakitori, mushi gyoza, teppan steak, EBI tempura, wasabi salmon. The sushi and sashimi is good too. Every meal starts with a complimentary salad (with the most delicious sweet onion dressing) and usually finishes with a bowl of jellybeans. This small restaurant is popular with locals - often all tables are full on a Saturday night. it's casual, BYO and worth a visit if you're in the area and enjoy Japanese food.

Tania provides a great value hairdressing service that meets my needs. She cuts and colours well, is friendly and charges very competitively. Very popular with the locals, always busy - best to make an appointment. My friends can't believe I get my hair cut, coloured and blowdried for the price i do! It's a "no frills" salon compared to others, but you still get a quality result.

This review is for Caffe Corto, Sydney NSW

Great coffee, quick takeaway and dine-in service, authentic Italian food and friendly staff. Breakfast through to mid afternoon. My preferred and regular coffee fix in the CBD. And occasional toast, banana bread, muffin or other tasty treat.
