We have been going to Velvet Paints since they were recommended to us by a friend who is an interior designer. They have a huge variety of paint at really good prices. They give practical advice, but they do get busy so on weekends you sometimes have to wait for a while until someone can serve you - best to go early on w/ends

We have eaten off the menu and also had the sushi special at the bar. The menu gives good quality standard Japanese food, but eating the chef's sushi menu at the bar is a great Japanese food experience. The sushi is authentic and top quality. There is a wide variety. It is really nicely presented, and there is lots of it.

We have had a number of small plumbing jobs done by the Tap Doctor, mostly fixing taps, leaking pipes and toilet. They were great in that they negotiated a time and then turned up precisely at the time they said - not just once but three times now. So different from our other tradespeople experiences. They are friendly and professional, and even had a little water conservation picture book to give our kids, albeit with a bit of a self promotion focus. Just a great customer experience for this kind of business.

They did a couple of smaller jobs around our house and then the full re-wiring. About half way through the re-wiring they started to get really rude and pushy - about things that had been agreed but not done, demanding keys to our house so they could come anytime, demanding immediate payments and threatening to cut the power if we didn't pay - despite no reasons to think we wouldn't, as all payments had been made within 14 days of invoice.
Approximate cost: $6000
They have a good variety of mulches and compost and landscaping stuff. Prices vary but are generally OK and the delivery has been very professional. They have mulch and compost made from recycled garden waste that is very good value
I started going here for the little pizzas that are delicious, and now buy middle eastern groceries, mostly dips, olives, bread, sweets, and spices. The pizzas and sweets are delicious and very cheap, and the groceries are good for buying in large quantities
I have eaten there with my family a few times. The food is quite good, particularly there gyoza, which are as good as you find anywhere. The service though, is too slow and can be frustrating. They have a TV showing sumo though, so if you have a beer it can be a pleasant wait.
Approximate cost: $25
I have bought fresh pasta from here a number of times and it has always been delicious. I have also taken advice from the store about which pasta to use with different sauces and have been really happy with the result.
I have had my tax done there for four years now and it has always been quick and easy and returns arrive within a week or so. I never have trouble getting an appointment when I want it and the staff seem to know what they are doing.
I go here every week and but a good portion of my groceries. Best thing is the the owners are always happy and friendly and they love my two kids (1 and 3) coming into the shop. The boys are doted on and fed and love coming shopping as a result. Great service and a good variety of stuff.
