The food here is amazing and the prices are very reasonable too. Eaten here quite a few times and never had a complaint. Convenient location to start a night out in the city.

Zen Yai do $9 lunch specials which are curry/stir fry with rice. The beef massaman is always dependably good! The serve sizes aren't huge but they're not small either. Not bad for a dine in lunch in the city!

The food is great. Do try the green curry chicken with garlic rice. The service was okay though we waited quite long for our meals. I love the atmosphere within the restaurant. It's quiet and nice.

I went there in a group and was appalled by the service! One person at our table sat for about half an hour after the rest of the table without a meal, this went unnoticed by the staff until we enquired for a third time! The food is okay, nothing special. Especially considering the number of Thai restaurants around.

The food was great, as usual, but one of our diners was left without a meal- despite us pointing out to the staff numerous times that we were still waiting on one dish. The reply of "It's coming" without even checking, and then finding out that the order hadn't made it to kitchen was really disappointing from a place where I normally have a great experience.

I feel bad dissenting from popular opinion, but I wasn't overly impressed with Zen Yai. I went with a group, which always complicates matters, but my meat wasn't well cooked, and one poor person on the table didn't get their meal until every one else had finished. They had forgotten in spite of asking for the meal on two different occasions. The service was pretty awful, but it really is a pleasant place to eat.

A very nice little Thai restaurant. A tight fit but great for lunch. The lunch menu is good - you get your meal quickly. From memory, it is $10 for each item on the lunch menu. I had the laska and it was good. Lots of public servants go there too.

Zen Yai Thai is a decent choice for a nice thai meal. the atmosphere is nice, very simple decor. it is a good place to go for a good meal

Have eaten there few times and have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Will definitely go back. Would recommend it to any Canberrans.

Fantastic Thai food, friendly waiters and a great atmosphere. I've only been once (last time I was in Canberra) but will definitely go back again next time I'm in Canberra and would recommend it to any Canberrans.
