I don't like popping negative reviews up on sites but I'm doing this to warn prospective tenants so that you never have to go through what we did.

My partner began renting a top floor flat about a year ago & moved into a very shabby place which he repainted & thoroughly cleaned at his own expense. Aside from minor issues such as no working light fitting in the stairwell making it hazardous to go downstairs at night, leaking taps, no door handles etc; straight away he noticed that possums were living in the roof cavity making a tremendous amount of noise & creating an awful stench due to urinating onto the balcony. This matter was reported immediately & it took 10 months to resolve this issue with the agent ignoring emails & phone calls. It was only the day before a scheduled Tribunal meeting that the agent notified that exterminator was coming out to the property. The agent blamed the lack of their communication on the landlord not getting in touch with them. The undue expense (registered letters, phone calls, Tribunal Hearing fees) & stress (sleepless nights) could have been avoided had the agent taken steps to rectify the matter & then let the landlord know that the flat was not fit to reside in as the possums were a health hazard.

I have had experience as a tenant for 9 yrs in the past and never have I come across such poor customer service.

Too add insult to injury the agent demanded minor maintenance be done at my partner's expense to existing problems that were there prior to him moving in before they would give the bond back when he was leaving. Now that the flat is in a much more livable state then it initially was in the agent has raised the rent by $50 p/w!
