I am not entirely sure why it is called West Village Cafe. Perhaps a play on NYC's famed restaurant district. If that were the case, this place did not disappoint. Plates were inspired, delivered promised sensations and the place made for a great night out. Very modern & chic. The menu itself is very international with both asian (Hanoi duck spring rolls, Asian herbs & chilli caramel dipping sauce), middle eastern (Mozzarella stuffed veal meatballs with tomato and saffron glaze) and european (low roasted pork belly, pan seared scallops, cauliflower puree & truffle oil) influences coming through.
