Ordered the Double Teriyaki wagyu, double cheese, triple smoked bacon, lettuce, onion, secret umami sauce
The beef was great, cooked medium rare, seasoned well without being overly sweet, and had a good fat ratio. The bacon was awesome, it was packed with flavour and some of the best I've had in Sydney. The Japanese style milk bun was also great, it held everything well, was super fluffy and not too sweet as it contrasted with the bacon and umami sauce very well. Delicious
A really lovely restaurant that offers amazing food & wine, interesting sakes, served with smiles & professionalism at affordable prices. Your wine glass is never empty & water is filled up promptly. Great value in fact given what you feast on. Each dish is beautifully & artfully presented in earthy toned Japanese style China & explained at the table whether your doing the degustation or a la carte. Dishes are umami filled, celebrating fresh ingredients & the seasons. Various regions of Japan are explored in the dishes, from heavier Northern style dumplings to the coastal freshness of lightly torched & dressed seafood & everything in between like rich wagyu beef sukiyaki & vegetables. Dont overlook dessert either as they are as pretty as the cherry blossoms painted on the wall.
