Amazing food, coffee to die for and the staff are just lovely

Very nice place and very good staff. Nice food, great place in the summer time. Look forward to going again.

Excellent meal. I had the pie of the day which was fish and was absolutely delightful. The salad that went with it was better than I had ever tasted before. Price was a mere $11.50!!!!
The kids menu wasn't the best - too fancy for their taste buds and really could be simplified for them.
The front of the building could do with some seating so that after lunch one could just sit and enjoy the view. An excellent day overall and I will be back to try some of their delightful looking cakes.

This place is great. An old cottage set on lush green paddocks a piece of country in amongst developed housing estates. The staff couldn't be more friendly. The house has small rooms in it which means might score a room by yourself (we found a toddler deters ppl from choosing ur room) tasty food I had tacos with pulled beef delish nirmal prices about $18. First time we came we couldn't get table so sat out front at a wine barrel but got stung by a wasp. There are signs warning visitors. Overall a lovely experience here wait staff are friendly toilet clean. There is even a cubby house out the side for kids to play in

This place is amazing!! I know why my friend recommended it. I was treated to a lovely birthday breakfast at this venue from my friend. Was the nicest breakfast i have had in a while. As you drive into the carpark you wonder if you are in the right place as it just looks like an old farm.. But... Upon entering you are greates with warm and friendly staff and fantasticly cosy rooms with individual fireplaces. They cater for prams and children as well which was fantastic! Can not recommend this place enough! Am very happy that i have been to two beans and a farm! I will definately be bringing friends and family in the future!

I found this fabulous cafe / restaurant hiding in my own neighbourhood, and it obviously is not a well kept secret as it is always busy. The reason is clear - this place scores high marks all around. First off the setting is amazing - the Carome Homestead is tucked away in Mernda, surrounded by rolling hills and kangaroo filled fields - a tranquil and beautiful setting with lots of easy parking. Second - the staff are genuinely warm, helpful and customer oriented, hard to find these days. One day we stopped by for lunch and they were booked out, we went back to the car and a staff member actually came out to the car a minute later to let us know they had just had a cancellation and could fit us in....amazing. Third - the food is fantastic - I had the lamb burger and my husband the steak sandwich - neither of us could believe how good they were - fresh, perfectly seasoned and absolutely yummy. Quite truthfully, when we first looked at the menu we thought it was a bit over-priced - but when a place gets the setting, customer service and food quality right - it is well worth it. I would highly recommend this place.
