I absolutely love Twenty and Six Espresso. Tucked away off the busy section of North Melbourne. It is a charming little cafe with a few tables out the front, a large communal table & bench seating in the front room and a cosy little garden courtyard out the back amongst the brick and vines.
They have a small menu of interesting brunch/lunch dishes. It changes seasonally, and offers a variety of vegetable and meat based dishes. All beautifully presented, delicious and and served in very generous portions with a smile.
This cafe offers a really good weekend brunch experience, really good food, generous servings, cheerful staff, a relaxed and cosy atmosphere and great value bill at the end.

Great breakfast, well made coffee, good service and delicious doughnuts if you can get a seat! This cafe can be a little hard to get into on the weekend and you can be waiting up to 30 mins for a table but its is well worth it. The food is so well put together flavour wise, you will find yourself licking the plate to get that last little bit.

Approximate cost: $20-30

waited for at least half an hour for our meal! don't get me wrong the food was good and all but not worth the wait...

had the mushroom brunch meal which was around $20, surprisingly filling and the bounty hot chocolate tasted exactly like a bounty bar

would go again when it's not busy (granted we went on sunday noon - primetime for brunchtime)

Always evolving, always on the mark, always scrumptious. I love this place for its creativity, quality, and innovation in presenting works of art on plates. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is not only perfectly balanced (taste, texture, flavour & aroma), but also sits prettily on the plate like an impressionist painting. The colours, structures & shapes all in harmony.
On a recent trip, we had
Salmon tartare, poached egg, beetroot, rye toast, radish ($19)
Smoked ham hock, pea puree, fresh peas, pea leaves, two poached eggs, toast ($15)
Pan fried sardines, confit cherry tomatoes, broccolini, green chilli & lime aioli, poached egg, toast ($18)
The servings are quite generous too.

Went during the new year break when BlueBonnet took over the premises and had the Pork Burger on a brioche bun. Mine had great flavour with delicious sauces. My companion had the kurobuta pork shoulder which she hardly touched. Appeared to be quite fatty

There are queues for tables most weekends and it's only a small place. The menu is also small and the portions are also...small. The prices however are not small at all. The service with 'tude was unfriendly - all in all - ok. But I won't be back.

Approximate cost: $20

Cozy little cafe with a courtyard in the back.
The menu is small, but it incorporates sufficient variety to keep people with differing appetites happy.
The food itself is very creative, well executed, very well presented, and servings are very very generous (in light of the prices).
Coffee is very nice too - they use beans from Proud Mary.

Approximate cost: $15
