Yummy chicken bento box. Very filling and sushi roll pieces were super yummy. Nice topping on the rice

The staff at Tomomi are wonderfully friendly and happy to help a hand when trying to decide what you want. The food is wonderfully fresh and flavoursome. I regularly get takeaway from Tomomi. The prices are also on the better side than other Japanese restaurants in Melbourne for the same quality

This was our first visit. We were seated and our order was promptly taken by the friendly and efficient staff. The food was fresh, tasty and well prepared (Eggplant and Miso, Agedashi Tofu, Fish Curry and Soba noodle and vegetable stirfry). The ambiance was pleasant and the decor simple and warm. Good value for money. We'll be back!

Approximate cost: $15.00 each

Tomomi make the best Sushi, hand rolls for lunch at $2 each can't be beaten. Their other lunchtime take-aways are also excellent and good value. You can get a huge platter of sushi or sushi/sashimi for two for $30-$40. At night the waitresses are in traditional Japanese kimonos and really look the part. The a la carte menu is reasonably extensive, the food is always delicious.

Tomomi is just a little local Japanese restaurant in Kew - but it is definitely worth visiting. I drive out of my way to get the California Rolls from Tomomi whenever I can make the excuse to drive to Kew! Beautiful food - and fast. They also do a lunch special for hand rolls ($2). If only I worked nearby...

A regular for lunch eat-in or take away - they let you phone ahead for super-fast pick-ups during lunch break which works well for me. They have a special lunch menu (which hasn't altered fro 4 years, but why change anything when you've got the right formula?!) that has set lunch value deals (like teriyaki fish set including mizo soup, spring rolls, teriyaki fish and rice for $8) or you can go the sushi/handroll option (lots of variety and $2 per handroll - and they're big!).

Food is always fresh and prepared quickly - they have a lot of lunchtime trade.

If you dine in the service can vary from fantastic to supremely dodgey - always a fun experience, but if you're short on time, phone ahead and collect.

Approximate cost: $<$10
