Love this little place. We frequent Wye River and a few stops here a must. So lovely and relaxing eating yummy food across from such a beautiful little beach. Our dogs are welcome to sit out the front with us too.

Great store that really fills a service hole in the Wye River area. It stocks a heap of products, which if you are camping and you've forgotten something (which happens to me all the time) then it comes in handy. Its not cheap though, as if you wanted to go somewhere else you have to travel either to Apollo Bay or to Lorne, so either way its a bit of a distance, so they've got themselves a bit of a captive market like that. That said its a great store and a credit to the Wye River area.

Having visited twice in the summers of both 2009 and 2010, I was recently most surprised to learn of the huge renovations at the Wye General. Hardly recognisable, - I am sure many will be surprised on returning to this popular holiday haunt, on the Great Ocean Road. Service remains unpretentious (oh thank you!) Have not dined in on last trip - but the deli section looks like it will serve the surrounding holiday makers well. Takeaway was well received by our group on our recent drive. Will return in the next month to try your winter roast or casserole. A great spot across the road from the beach and nestled between the cliffs and the ocean.
