I went there with a friend a few weeks ago and was very impressed with both the food and the service. The prices are typical of a hotel and they have a good range of meals. One nice touch is that they have iced tea for free on the counter. Nice decor too.

This hotel has been recently renovated. The outside area looks very inviting and relaxed. The new dining area is interesting. It's like there are about 5 areas and a different person designed each... not a great look. Looking at the menu, I was excited to try their new americanised food. The Southern Fried Chicken entree was a little bland but was quite a large serve with chips and dipping sauce. For mains I had Jambalaya... a blob of red rice with some chicken and prawns. Not nice at all. My friend had the oysters kilpatrick - nice flavours but very small oysters and a steak - which she said was OK. The salad bar was uninteresting. The burgers arriving at other tables looked good, so may return to try one, but otherwise would not recommend. There was also no table service.
