I had my 30th Birthday dinner at The Oaks Hotel. The atmosphere was great at the garden outside with fiary lights hanging down. It is quite casual and everyone just ordered from the the bar for their drinks and items from the menu themselves. We ordered steaks (which comes with a salad) and then cook and season the steaks ourselves to ones' liking. The guys did the cooking, catching up while holding their beers and all the girls were picking their salads at the salad bar. The Oaks Hotel is pretty much self-served, the wait staff do come and collect the empty plates and clean up our tables we are done. The prices are very affordable and reasonable, we paid around $23-25 per main. The portion size of the steak is quite big. We brought a birthday cake along and borrowed their plates etc and they didn't charge us any cake nor corkage charge at all (when other places charge like $3 per person). I had a very happy birthday and everyone had a great time without spending a fortune.

This is a local pub with a friendly & lively atmosphere. There is a choice of indoor and outdoor dining. Good venue for after work drinks or weekend lunches & dinners. Great variety of good quality food from cook yourself bbqes to gourmet pizza.

I love the beautiful environment with a big oak tree in the middle of it! I pretty much recommend for after work drinks! A bit crowded on Fridays nights though.

One of the best things about this pub is the atmosphere - especially outside. The food is good for a pub but not overly great value.

there is a lovely large beer garden out the back as well as three bars but i have found that alot of the staf charge different prices.i belive i paid a different price 3 times for the same drink.the food is good ,the pizza is quite small for the price and the staff are not very nice but they have pool tables and a jukebox upstairs that is great for a drink with mates

Great hotel for a drink with friends. The best beer garden under the oak tree. Excellent bbq grilled - but you cook your own...Great Pizza restaurant in the beer garden. Used to frequent the Oaks every weekend; gotta go there with friends...
