Went here for coffee with some friends, the lounge seating makes it a great place to relax and catch up for a coffee. Lots of options available for food, including vegetarian, but is a bit pricey for a cafe. Felt quite icky for a few hours after the nachos, but the serving size was huge. Coffee was reasonably priced.

Approximate cost: $15

Sunday Morning Breakfast.
Having completed a massive walk from Burliegh, my husband and I found ourselves in Varsity and found a thriving new cafe with a great look, very affordable prices and some groovy music. We sat outside on a lounge and with the lovely views and atmosphere, I didn't really want to leave. Great coffees, served very fast and a beautiful salmon eggs benedict. My guts of a husband had the Big Brekky and it was so big you couldn't even see the plate. Overall it cost us around $35 and we could barely walk home, let alone eat lunch. Had a great time at 'the hub' and will definately recommend it.

I came here for Valentines Day this year and really enjoyed the mixed tapas, and then ordered my favorite dish as a Main course. The owners are so friendly and passionate about their business. That night, a young man proposed to his lovely girlfriend ... on knee, it was so touching. Really nice place!

What a great new little cafe/bistro. The staff are so helpful and friendly and they've already built a real following in the Varsity community. I have the mixed tapas to start which included chilli coconut mussels, maroccan chicken, whiting, chicken fritters, and garlic prawns. With a glass of Geisen for $10, I think thought that was probably one of the best deals on the Gold Coast. So I started with that and then had an additional served of mussels and salt and pepper calamari that my husband and I served. Both were absolutely beautiful. Nice and tender / fresh seafood and lots of flavour. We sat their for hours on the decks out the side and its just so relaxing! I'm already looking to have my birthday party their. We will be back!

Since their Opening Night these guys have served up some wonderful food. The coffee is extremely well cared for and is perfectly balanced with the food and a variety of drinks and beverages. The owners are hands-on and welcoming to all. Live entertainment is to be enjoyed @ The Hub!! Varsity is beginning to become a great place to greet, meet and eat.
