Love their bee sting and apple strudel, so many delicious delights to satisfy anyones sweet tooth and all served with a smile. My girlfriend and i usually drop in just when we are finishing up in Hahndorf and often take a little extra home. Prices are great, service excellent and treats - truly delicious.

Located just across the road from the German Pantry we found ourselves enjoying a delicious beesting and coffee. Such a large variety of delicious cakes, my girlfriend was out of control and had to try a few. Service was quick and friendly.

With family visiting from interstate we decided to spend a day in Hahndorf. First stop was the German Cake shop of course, we all enjoyed a coffee and some apple strudel with whipped cream, so delicious. They have a great selection of delicious sweets and savoury items, pleasant atmosphere and nice staff.

I really like this bakery/cake shop cafe, nice area for sitting and enjoying a coffee, an excellent selection of yummy gooodness, but always difficult. The staff are great, especially on a saturday when it is so busy. My girlfriend especially enjoys trying a something different each time we visit. A very pleasant experience.

a nice quiet little bakery just off the main street with a quaint shaded garden. Coffee is average but the strudels are to die for. Bought the $10 piece to take home, Cherry and custard, and the three of us had 2 slices out of it each. DIVINE. Will be going up to Hahndorf again by bus just to buy the apple strudel

Whenever i visit Hanhdorf, I will always buy the beesting from this place. This pastry is nice as soft and the cream is not too sweet as well. It goes really well with a cup of nice coffee, but too bad, they dont serve great coffee. Besides beestings they do have other pastry and cakes as well. huge selection, but i never tried them before. advice, go early because the beesting is always a sell out

I was told by friends that the Beesting is why people come to this shop. So after looking at all the awesome items in the display cabinet at the counter, I got my Beesting and latte and sat down. They came to me with the cake and coffee and I must say that the Beesting is actually really good. Coffee was average. I wanna come back and try other items.
The staff/owner seems to be authentically German...

I love this little cake shop! I love how they have the fresh pastries and also sell yesterday's cakes half price so they don't go to waste but are still equally delicious (just a bit cheaper!). The bee sting cakes are definitely my favourite and one shouldn't leave Hahndorf without trying one!

This trip I made a point to go and visit this shop as it looked so appealing knowing they sell a lovely assortment of cakes, German meals etc.

We were pressed for time but I managed to call in and buy myself a savoury pretzel which I ate immediately. Pity I was still full from breakfast as I was eyeing off the Beesting cake too LOL

Service was efficient and polite by the gentleman behind the counter.

The drinks cabinet fridge had a good range of cold drinks for us to buy and bring with us on our drive for the day to our next destination.

Quaint cafe with table seating inside and outside. Definitely will be returning to this cafe for a morning tea or lunch on my next trip to Hahndorf.

Absolutely delicious traditional German cakes and sweets. They also make very nice coffee. There's a small outdoor garden area which is lovely hen it's not raining (think Adelaid Hills!). A must try is their stunning "bienenstich" or Beesting cake.
