This pub has recently had a makeover and is now very pleasant place to visit. The main lounge is particularly nice with exposed brick, an open fire and comfortable armchairs. Staff are professional and friendly. The menu looked good though we didn't eat on this occasion and there was the option for hot snacks in between service times. The restaurant part of the pub looked disappointing compared to the lounge. Tables and chairs looked 'budget' as did the decor and lighting. Probably good for families but didn't look the type of environment for a quiet romantic dinner for two.

Great place for a drink or a meal on a cold winters night as they have some open fires to keep you warm and cosy.

Staff are always friendly and cheerful, always in the mood for chat. Meals are great, never had any complaints, always enjoy a good steak here as well as the salt and pepper squid. Their meals are better than the usual pub fare.

Prices are very reasonable and have and will return again.

Went here recently with a couple of friends as they had been telling me how good the meals were here. They were right, really enjoyed their salt and pepper squid, others had the usual schnitzels and chips. Very generous servings, I have to say my salt and pepper squid was close to being the best I have ever had - and I eat this whenever it is on the menu. The staff were very friendly and didn't have to wait long for our meals. The dining area isn't anything special, it is quite average in need of some work. I would say that was the only thing I disliked. Very large menu, so no problem finding something you would like. Various pricing, I think more on the expensive side.

This old Adelaide Hills Hotel was the venue for a family birthday gathering. Although a cold night the dining room was warm and cosy. An extensive menu was offered plus specials board. A variety of food was ordered and it was enjoyed by all. I had the gluten free beef vindaloo which. was tasty. The dining room was full and the serving of the food took a little time. However the children present were served immediately which was very helpful. All up our bill was just under 90.00 which included 2 mains 2 desserts 2 coffee and a bottle of wine. An enjoyable evening

Only one vegetarian main meal on offer, but had the dips plate on the Specials list with one dip omitted. Staff were lovely and meals were promptly delivered. Great atmosphere and not too busy for Sunday lunch. Hubby enjoyed his salt & pepper squid but found it a bit floury.

I love this great Aussie pub. It has an open fireplace, very very nice menu with outstanding quality. The staff are always very friendly and greet the kids with coloring pencils and pictures. They are community minded and have seasonal competitions on with great prizes for the kids. Did I mention I live this place?!

Small country pub with meals that are incredible. great atmosphere and service with ambiance and intrigue. The meals are well sized and extremely well priced. we will be going again
