Went to lunch at Terra Rossa. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. Had sirloin on the express lunch menu, and was it very tasty. Only one disappointment (not major), some of our party wanted to order coke, & only pepsi was available.
I went to Terra Rossa for dinner last week. The food was amazing (especially the homemade doughnuts for desert)! The service was great, all staff were very friendly and genuine. There was live music being played, and the ambiance was beautiful.
sounds great, like a good place to have a nice dinner out with friends or your partner. sounds indulgent!
I went here for a weekday lunch with two others. It was wet and cold outside, so the warmth radiating from the fireplace when we walked in was bliss! Like many of the restaurants along Flinders Lane, there was a special lunch menu, presumably because of the business lunch rush. Despite being a Wednesday the restaurant was comfortably busy, and staff were friendly, competent and efficient. We ordered from the $18 lunch menu and were all very happy with the gnocchi (with pumpkin puree and pine nuts), the beef and pork burger, and the tuna steak with nicoise salad.
The food was tasty and servings were filling, great value for the price paid. The rest of the menu also looked delicious!
I'm glad that on a whim we chose to eat here, it was lovely and I will be returning.

Hi Elizabeth10, thanks for sharing your experience. From what you have described, the Gnocchi dish sounds delectable, although having consumed pine nuts (which caused a bout of Pine Mouth Syndrome), I tend to avoid their consumption, unless I can be assured of their identity and country of origin. Thank you kindly for the heads-up! Reeces
Great experience! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and professional. Food was great! It took me a while to decide what to have because everything on the menu looked good to me! I recommend this place and it is one that I will be returning to.
Had dinner at Terra Rossa today and it was great. Very nice atmosphere. Their pizzas and pastas are delicious.
Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine courtesy of the Citi wine offer which they've recently adopted which is great value.
Good for takeaway as well when you are working late in the office.
Approximate cost: $25
Tops review mate, spot on
Sounds good.... I'll have to look into the wine offer.
I was wondering up Flinders Lane trying to find a place to eat for dinner. We ended up at Terra Rossa as it looked really inviting. It has a great ambience and the furniture/lighting is beautiful. We didn't have a booking but they found us a table on a bust Saturday night!
The food was really lovely. I had the chicken and it was really filling. We ordered some yummy cocktails as well. The staff were friendly.
They have areas for small and large groups. It would be excellent if they had a private dining room though for those special occasions!
Approximate cost: $35
Must try it one day.
I had a working weekend in the city, and decided to order a pizza from their takeaway menu.
I ordered the prawn, chorizo, capsicum & chipotle pizza ($23) and was told it would be ready in 20mins. I walked across to the restaurant 20mins later, and realized upon paying that they had mixed up the order. As a result the order was reverted to the kitchen to be put through again. During this time, I was forced to wait at the restaurant, with little apology. Rather than making an effort to make me comfortable, the waitstaff invited me to buy a coffee whilst I waited for a pizza order which they had messed up!
When my pizza was finally ready, I paid and took it back to the office to satisfy my grumbling senses.. What a disappointment. the pizza was covered with a nondescript cheese, and a small thin bite sized pieces of prawn and chorizo, the number which I could count on the back of my hand. It looked like a basic domino's/pizza hut creation. Crust could have done better.
A very poor performance overall. For $23, the quality and quantity of the food completely missed the mark. Furthermore the quality of service was inexcusable given that it was mid-afternoon around 2:30pm when I put in the order, not very many patrons were there by the time I arrived. There was no excuse for the poor, absent service.
Hi Rosep1, thanks for another concise review. What a serious disappointment! Given the mix-up, we would have thought that management might had had the decency to offer you a Ć¢??complimentaryĆ¢?? beverage while you were forced to wait a second time. Very disappointing! Reeces
The lighting is very mute and decor provides a sense of intimacy. However, the venue itself is quite open plan, with the bar spilling into the restaurant table area. This means that when the restaurant/bar fills up, noise levels are rather elevated.
Food wise, the servings and food quality reasonable. Staff are friendly and reasonably efficient, if not top line uniformed professionals, as befitting a bistro level venue of this calibre.
Approximate cost: $30
in total, i have been dined in this restaurant more than 5 times. I really love this restaurant. Great atmosphere..! I have been here just for drinks and a couple of times for dinner. The quality of food was always great. It just tasted right and cooked properly. The service was always satisfied me. The value - well, it is just reasonable.
Thanks for your review.
This place is intimate and the food was good. There was not an awful lot on the menu but what they did offer was good. Service was ok and atmosphere was excellent.
