I loved staying at Tangalooma, transport leaves from near Hamilton and there is parking available, the trip across to the island was very quick and comfortable and we saw two whales.
The room was clean and comfortable, we tried out the bar, ate dinner in one of the restaurants and enjoyed a buffet breakfast the next day.
There is lots to do on the island most importantly the dolphin feeding which I loved. I'd definitely return to Tangalooma, it's beautiful.

We generally wouldn't have rated this resort as high if we had paid full price. We came here for 3 nights on a Travelzoo Voucher ($419) which we considered a bargain compared to the usual price (~$275 per night). Upon arrival it was clear that some aspects of the resort were slightly run down and outdated however it was great to see some renovations going on in the restaurants. Our room in C Block had a kitchenette, modern furnishings and soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, body lotion and shaving cream provided in wall dispensers (YAY). Each accommodation block has free BBQ facilities so while food is expensive you can BYO and save. There are plenty of free activities scheduled throughout the day including bird feeding, tennis, archery, squash, kookaburra feeding, catamaran lessons and many more. We chose to go on a quad bike tour at $58 per head for an hour and loved it! We also took our own snorkelling gear and walked the 1km to the wrecks instead of paying for a snorkelling tour. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great 3 night stay.
