Swinging Safari used to be pretty cool, but it's now quite run down and needs some repair. The old vintage clothes used to be great, but they need some fixing up.
There are only 2 girls toilets as well which can be a major issue as the night goes on.
Swingin Safari is not your usual type of venue, it is like going to an aunts place to hang out, a 1970's style Queensland beachhouse. It was more popular a year or two ago, but if you are looking for somewhere different to go for a drink (slightly bohemian), or some tapas & a bit of music.. then this is the place to go.
I've heard lots of good things about this place!

Swinging Safari needs a revamp. It used to be boho but now its run down. Disappointing. Its dirty and the toilets are... scary!
i do not like this place
This place is an amazing old kitschy house from the 70's. Going there is very much like going to someone's house party, only with a full bar and great food served to you! If you don't like the mainstream clubs and bars in Surfers Paradise this place is a must.
You can sit and talk, check out the old books in the living room and try on and wear the vintage clothes (yes.. in a bar!) OR you can have a dance to the great live music or DJ they have on that night!
Approximate cost: $10
I remember when they used to have vintage clothes! That was awesome.
