5 reviews about Swan Valley Oasis Restaurant

I've heard about this place in the valley so me and my husband decided to try it. My first impression on the place, BEAUTIFUL! We went on a sunny day so it was even better. It had gardens, fountains and a big grass lawn. I think its really nice for families. So we went to the restaurant and thought there was a wedding or a function because the set up was so elegant. You don't see that quite often and actually I was impressed. Turns out that's just the way they set it up. Great!

We decided to eat inside the restaurant but they actually have tables at the verandah and an alresco area too, another plus for me. For our meals I had the river and reef because the waitress said it was one of their popular dishes and I wasn't disappointed. The fish was enormous and cooked really well. Though the chips were too many for me. My husband had the surf turf cooked med well and he said it was good as well. They even have a karaoke that you can use! Great for big gathering I would say. Staff were friendly and attended to us with a smile. Had a really nice experience here, will definitely come back with our friends.

Arrived at the Oasis restaurant and there were about 4 waiters on with approx 5 tables seated. I had to approach a staff member to ask where we could sit which took about 5minutes for them to come back to me. I was abruptly told that I could be seated only because a table of 4 had cancelled and that next time I would have to make a booking. (There were at least 15 tables vacant) and this was on a Sunday afternoon about 1pm so not too sure why I had to pre-book.

After I had sat down at the table for about 15 minutes no staff member had come over to take my order, so I assumed I had to take the menu up to the till and order what I wanted. The staff member told me to go and sit down and she would come and take my order shortly. Once I had eventually ordered my food it didn't take long to come out. Maybe 10mins tops.

I ordered the chicken ceaser salad and it was $29 my friend ordered the barramundi with chips and it was $30. The fish still had the scales on it and my friend said it was not very nice. My ceaser salad was huge and tasty as you would expect for that price. My glass of coke was $4.50.

Would I go back there again to eat? No.
Would I recommend a friend to eat there? No.

Approximate cost: $30

I went here with a group of friends for my birthday lunch, and decided to try the curry. It was less than average to tell the truth - all I kept thinking was that I could go home and cook something with actual flavour, and save myself $20. The others seemed to enjoy their meal, although we did agree it was over-priced for what you get

Approximate cost: $25
