The Yum cha is alright, food is generally nice but occassionally the food that comes out isn't the best. Their durian pastry is very nice and I recommend the cha siu sou (Pork pastry). It's very comfortable and spacious. The interior looks new and it can cater for a lot of people. The staff is nice enough.

Love the food, Yum Cha lunch and dinner. Good value, Try the five spice rolls at lunch and the spicy hot fish at dinner, warning the dish is hot! If not into chilli hot food.. try the chefs special Peking pork two ways its a winner. Good wine cellar not on menu, have to ask. Toilets as in most Chinese restaurants are a little yukky. The staff are lovely.

Love the food here - probably the best yum cha on gouger street! Service can be a little slow but considering the large number of patrons that go through every day its adequate. If you are looking for fine dining this isn't the place - if you want a reliable and tasty mid morning bite to eat then star house is worth a try.

Yum Cha food ok but do they need a training on service or what??? I used my entertainment cards for yum cha and they said that was not allowed, despite it saying 'YUM CHA" in the book! They unwillingly accepted such but then I asked to put meal on credit card and they said I have to pay by cash if I used my entertainment card. Anyone out there heard of such a thing. They make up there rules as they go and all there waiters dont smile, I felt like I was there to beg for my food!

By Sydney and Melbourne standards, the food at this place is average. We ordered a chicken dish, a tofu dish, some prawns and a few other things. The flavour of the food was good but not exciting to the palate. The food lacks freshness of ingredients and the heat of a good wok where in good Cantonese cooking cooking time is short as you want to ensure that the produces' freshness comes through. Unfortunately it seemed like the dishes we ordered were a little on the overcooked side or a bit heavy with the MSG.(Very thirsty afterwards!) That said, the food is better than some of the other places we tried and is a reasonable standard. Service from the waitresses was efficient and friendly. Decor is typical Chinese and seating is a little on the cramped side with as many tables packed in as possible.

Excellent Chinese yum cha and stir fry for dinner. Great location, however, may find parking difficult on Friday nights and Saturday. Good value for money, however, quality can vary between different visits. overall, worth visiting.

This restaurant has very nice decor and atmosphere. We've tried their yum cha as well as their a-la-cart and we weren't disappointed. The staffs are very friendly and polite. Overall, we've enjoyed our dining experience at this place and we highly recommend this restaurant.
