I've only had takeaway here but it's always fantastic. Our favourite is the Carne pizza. They are always busy so you do need to order in advance (often an hour) but the food is always fresh and ready when they say it will be.

Bustling atmosphere & extremely pleasant staff! First night in Hobart & a great choice and start to the trip. Had the pan fried ravioli with pulled pork shoulder & truffle oil - divine! Want to go back!

We have visited Solo Pasta & Pizza on many occasions whilst staying in Hobart.
They have the best Pizzas and their service is top notch.
They have just renovated their shop and it looks fantastic too.

Approximate cost: $20

Before last weekend I'd never been to Solo. I'd heard many good things about it, but never got there.

Why did I wait so long???

My wife and I went for dinner with friends at the little Sandy Bay landmark. My first impressions were that the place was fairly small, and maybe a little cramped.

We were shown to our table by the friendly wait staff who guided us through the maze of customers awaiting their takeaway orders (another promising sign of good quality) to our seats about hafway down the restaurant.

The tables were fairly close together, which meant the we were almost struck by the flailing limbs of the energetic (albeit inconsiderate) young lady on the adjacent table a couple of times, but things quietened down pretty quickly once that group left.

Our waiter was very helpful and exceptionally friendly, if a little too "hands on" - there's something a little disconcerting about a waiter's hand trailing across your shoulders whilst you eat as he asks the table if everything is to our satisfaction.

Now we come to the food. Exquisite. We all had a variety of different dishes and nobody had a bad word to say about any of it. The servings were generous and the price was fair, without being an absolute bargain.

I would very happily return to Solo again in future.

Nice place to eat and the staff are all really nice, which I always feel makes the whole eating out experience so much better. They tae the time to chat with you and really makes you feel welcome. Love that.

Atmosphere is really alive and the food always tastes good.

A Sandy Bay landmark! Great, fast pizzas with heaps of toppings. Also great sizes to choose from - I go a family to leave some for breakfast the next moring. Nothing beats their Hawaiian!

This restaurant is completely family friendly and children are always welcome. the pizzas here are delicious so is the pasta but its a bit noisy. I ordered a small capricciosa pizza with a hint of garlic, & the pizza dough was thick but light and fluffy and the crust was crispy.A must try restaurant if you're ever in Hobart

The service was the best I've ever received anywhere, friendly, and he even organised to have the pizza ready for exactly any time I chose so I could get some movies. The pizza was delicious too. Only place to go for pizza if you're in Sandy Bay

Approximate cost: $18
