Had a trip to Huonville, and stopped in at The Snug Tavern for lunch. What a delight, great choices on the menu all at reasonable prices, we settled for the chicken breast fillet stuffed with sun dried tomato and brie, served on a bed of seasonal veg, all beautifully cooked to perfection. BLISS!
The surroundings were clean and spacious, and bonus you could play Keno if you wished and there was a seperate gaming room.

Approximate cost: $24.00

This is a really nice place to have pub style counter meals at great prices! They have a wide variety to choose from on there menu and the chicken schnitzel and fish and chips are always a nice choice too!

Approximate cost: $22

Popped in for a relaxing Tuesday lunch and despite having heard good things about the place, was pleasantly surprised.

I ordered the beer battered fish and what came out was pub cooked fish that rates among the best I've experienced. It literally melted in your mouth and they didn't skimp on the portion size, chips or tartare sauce.

My wife went for the wedges, and they too were cooked to perfection and came in a generous serving with plenty of salad, sour cream and sweet chilli sauce.

We went for a drive through the country of southern Tas and stopped at the Snug Pub for a quick bite. Our 'snack' turned out to be a full meal. I had toasted focaccia and um had the chicken burger but they both came with chips, salad, coleslaw and pasta salad. Amazing value at only $10 each.

Approximate cost: $10-18
