Great stylists shocking lighting everyone complains about how bad they look in the salon too bright

So I'm a regular at smart tops (cut/colour/blow dry + products) every time I go I have thoroughly enjoyed my stylist and the salon's atmosphere.
But I had the worst experience today. I took my 3.5 yo, he usually squirms and fusses for about 5 minutes then calms down. Imagine my surprise when the new manager stated giving me death stares and sneered at me.
I wasn't in there for more than 15 mins max (hairdresser was great - don't know who she was) but the new manager's attitude was extremely unpleasant.
When I went to pay she refused to look at me.
Since the change over, the atmosphere in there is weird.
Maybe powers gone to her head, but I've seen her be rude and dismissive to junior staff so I guess after more than 2 years of going there, I'm looking for a new place to get my hair cut. Really disappointed as a good hairdresser is hard to find
Fantastic hairdresser for kids, really quick and efficient and also cheaper than some of the so called discount hairdressers that just do cuts.

Really good value - about $15.00 for kids and adult prices are pretty good too.
Sounds like a place and a half to have a style cut.
Just to add - I more recommend this place for a trim or basic cut, not so much you're restyle or anything too unique. More for a standard bob or retrim.
I've been in a few times for a wash and cut, and have always been satisfied with the service given. If you're after a particular lady to cut your hair, its best to book an appointment beforehand, however I've walked in many times and they've been able to cut my hair immediately. So they're definitely not understaffed! If however, you do need to wait, there are some cushioned stools you can sit on while reading a wide range of magazines provided by them. All staff are friendly, and make an effort to get to know you so that they remember you for next time.
I made the switch to Smart Tops as my old hairdresser was costing me an arm and a leg. These guys dont try to rip you off at all, and because of this, I'll be recommending them to my friends and family.
I would like to withdraw the part about this being a 'cheap' salon. I've now discovered that unless you are a regular, they can and will rip you off. I recommended these guys to my mum and she was charged more than double the cost of my haircut - and her hair is shorter than mine! Very disappointed.
What a shame! That really puts you off a place.
I know right! Just when I thought I had finally found the 'perfect' hairdresser the search continued. Now I refuse to go to any salon which refuses to list its prices.
Great location & a local marketplace. the girls there provide friendly service while the prices are very competitive. I have never had a bad experience with cut or colour
