Not my cup of tea, the atmosphere and decor is not my thing, I've had better open mic, and it's always overcrowded
I don't know why but they have a bogan low class downstairs bar and then upstairs is the more upper class restaurant and balcony overlooking the water good if you like place of contradictions. I prefer the Esplanade restaurant cafe bar down the road better food better atmosphere

Enjoyed salt and pepper squid here during the week. Dining room is split either side of the bar and is pleasantly set out. Can also eat on the verandah when the weather is pleasant. Also sampled one of the decadent desserts. Very nice.

This is a challenging one to review. Our work group had our Christmas lunch there and our table was on the verandah facing the beach. It should have been lovely, but it was extremely cold and windy, so the only minor relief was to pull down the blind which blocked the view of the beach. Not great. Service and receiving our meals was very slow, but to be fair they were busy. The food itself was fine but it got cold too quickly given where we were sitting. We also couldn't move around at all - very crammed in.

Still good, still good.
Did breakfast here over the weekend and the eggs florentine and the egg and bacon burger were both very nice.
However, I'm marking down as I don't like the tang of the vinegar in the hollandaise sauce.
The burger comes with 2 hash browns. That's nice of them.

Also, someone left the front door open. Was cold in the front bar.

Had a coffee here today and sat outside in the sunshine. It was beautiful overlooking the blue sea. The coffee was nice and having eaten here on previous occasions we know that there is a good menu with reasonable prices. Specials also. Nice hotel (and coffee spot)

My last visit here was not very good, maybe I should give them another try.

Came here for breakfast with my partner today.
I ordered the salmon benedict, my partner the big breakfast and two coffees. The food arrived promptly and my dish looked lovely and tasted great. The bread on my partners dish was just white supermarket bread so it was standard and tacky. Coffee was fine to start of with however we both had tummy complications during the day, not sure if it was the coffee or the food.
Service was good because one of the waiters was funny and kept us entertained with some witty comments.
With the entertainment voucher it was good value but without it, it would have been been comparable to other locations.

Approximate cost: $avg

Like the view and coffee here but the food, not so keen on, was disappointing when we went.

Something for everyone here. A very nice looking pub overlooking the sea. There's an area for watching sport, a gaming area at the back, downstairs family and dining or you can go upstairs to sit on the balcony and/or listen to live music. Haven't eaten there yet but food looked wholesome and appetising and there was a big menu. Looking forward to a return visit when we'll try the food.

We had dinner here on two evenings. Surf and turf seated on the verandah was very nice and the following evening was schnitzel night - 2 schnitzels and a jug of beer for 30 dollars. My husband and son took the double deal and I had grilled fish and chips. All meals were great but the service was slow. It would be nice if the meals were provided promptly

Well the service was at least reasonable, a great view from the balcony, but the food disappointing. Found that the squid was quite rubbery, steak chewy and the chips soggy or over cooked. We ate here twice in the hope that the second time round would be better as it really is a nice place to go for a meal. We will not be returning.

Approximate cost: $18+

This is such a shame, as this place used to be a wonderful place to eat a few years back.

Disappointing experience. The only good thing going for the Seacliff was the view. We shared the dips to start with, which were adequate, but the pie on mash that I had was decidedly average. The mash was bland and dry and the pie nothing special. Very average service. Very pricey too. Won't be back.

I have to agree with you, I have been here twice with family and friends and found both experiences to be very disappointing. We gave them a second chance and regretted it.

Such a shame. I used to love this place a few years back.
