Lovely little cafe, great big windows to enjoy the view outside, the food selection is quite limited, but the scones and coffee were delicious. Sassafras is very busy for parking, but worth the visit

This was a really nice place to come to. I did love the homemade burger they had which was really really tasty. The staff were really prompt in seating us and we will definitely come here again!!

We stopped for lunch at the Sassafras Cafe. It's a no-frills small cafe. Our order included burgers and pies. Burgers were of decent size and good. The burgundy pie was nice but Moroccan pie was too bland with some chewy bits occurring in the meat. This was followed by coffee which was nice. Service was OK: the girl who served us forgot to mention that pies require additional preparation time so we ended up waiting for 20+ min for the order to arrive. The cafe is apparently popular for its Devonshire tea, and the scones did look great but the price is the same as for some mains, so we did not order.

Approximate cost: $15

Came across this cafe whilst going for a pleasant afternoon drive. We stopped for a coffee and tried their scones with jam and cream. Truly delicious! My husband tried one of their burgers and thought it was pretty good. Very friendly atmosphere, generous portions and reasonably priced.

Approximate cost: $15

Friendly and jolly staff. Seating out side or in. They serve various breakfast and lunch dishes. They also have a a nice Devon shire tea which is popular in the area.
