A friend chose Sarrisha's to buy her wedding and bridesmaid dresses - I was a bridesmaid. The first visit for measurements took all of about 60 seconds whilst I was still fully clothed, which I thought was a bit odd for custom made gowns. The lady who took the measurements seemed to be the business owner; her manner was quite surly, and she told us that if we lost weight before the wedding we would have to pay extra. I was asked to make at least half of the payment up front (and the prices were not cheap). At the first (and only) fitting, they tried to overcharge me for my second payment. Also they had misplaced the first payment that one of the other bridesmaids had made and tried to charge her for the whole payment. Although the appointment had been made several weeks earlier, and the bride had confirmed with them the day before that we were all coming, when we turned up on the day one of the dresses had not even been made. When it came time for my fitting I thought that the dress looked a little large for me and suggested that perhaps it belonged to one of the other girls. However they denied this and after a lot of pinning, made it fit me (if a little strangely). The next week the bridesmaid who had been told her dress wasn't made yet turned up for her fitting, only to find that the dress was in fact mine, and that it would definitely not fit her, so Sarrisha's had to make a new dress again. If I had been the bride I would have been crying after the humiliating way she was treated during her final fitting, which was in full view of other customers. To top it off, 2 staff members (one of which I think was the business owner) had an argument in front of us about wages. When we opened the bride's dress bag on her wedding day to dress her, there was a yellow stain on the sleeve of her gown. There are not enough words to describe how appalling this business really is.
