We bought ice creams here to take across to the beach. The staff were lovely and great with the kids. The place was clean and tidy and service was quick and easy. A great place to grab an ice cream.

Mixed reaction to this establishment. Service was great on one occasion but distracted the next. Meals were great, coffee and cakes range and quality good. They forgot my meal on the second occasion (even though there was only one other table to serve) and only realised when I advised them and told them to cancel the order as we were ready to leave (and I had eated the kids leftovers anyway!) and the reaction was pretty disinterested. Good coffee though!

The take awayfish and chips are lovely but are expensive especially if you are buying for a large family. Prices here have increased when new owners took over. The restaurant section have lovely meals but noise can be a problem as it is on a corner.

They have really nice hot chips here, its also a good place to buy ice creams or cold drinks in summer when you are at the beach, right across from the beach

Best dining experience ever! The food was sensational, best Spicy Thai Beef Salad I have ever had. The staff was extremely friendly & owner/manager, Steve always remebered us by name. Made our holiday stay in Caloundra very memorable will definately dine at Sandbar Cafe everytime we visit.

Venue a little cold and noisy in winter: table cloths would be nice, even butcher paper. Very very good seafood chowder. The food is good and staff were helpful..

Wow - we had decided we wouldn't go back to this fish and chips joint last year (different owners) - but we would have been sorry! If you thought it was getting expensive and not that nice with the old owners, go back and try again. Whilst fish is not super cheap, it is super tasty and the staff are heaps friendlier than they used to be. New owners have made this a repeat visit for us on our holiday this year - great work.

Great place for Breakfast! The food is well presented and tasty. I have stopped here a number of times and always find good service and quality food.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The Sandbar has amazing views across to Bribie Island. Perfect location and nicely fitted out. The food is wonderful and the menu has variety, including gluten free options (my hubby is Gluten Intolerant).
