Unfortunately our experiences with the Saltbar at Kingscliff haven't ever been satisfying.

We have eaten at the Saltbar twice now and unfortunately both times, one of us has been sick within hours. W won't risk it a third time. The first time we had the pastry covered lamb shanks and the second time the seafood basket. We think that it could be the batter/pastry they use.

We contacted the Saltbar both times but were told it couldn't have been the food and must have been a 'coincidence'.

It has the potential to be such an amazing venue with beautiful outlooks, great kids play area and more but we won't ever eat there again.

The drinks are also extremely over priced. Such a shame.

great location near the beach, the deck is a great place for lunch and the food is good. they have everything from snack food to main meals. they have life bands on a friday and saturday nights. i used to drink here a lot when i used to work at peppers which is cross the road

What a view, what a location. Best atmosphere and beautiful food. Hot chips are to die for. Nice way to relax on an afternoon or even after a swim with the kids.

This place has the best hot chips, I love them, especially with aolli! The layout is nice and breezy and there is plenty of room to relax. They usually have live bands on Sundays and there is a kids room also. The meals are appropriately priced and i love going there to unwind.
