Utterly pleased!!! I visited Saint James Hair Studio for the first time today. Had my hair colored and cut by the salon owner, James. I can honestly say he did a fantastic job. My hair color looks so natural and he gave great advice on toners, treatments and haircut options. Very attentive and friendly. James is absolutely worth it because of how amazing I feel now!

I have had some awful experiences with hairdressers in Melbourne so Saint James was a huge relief. The cut was $95 and a took 2 hours but I was very happy with the result. Everyone was very friendly and my hair was styled nicely after the cut. I continue to go back because I know I will get a great cut.

Not in a million years would I recommend this salon worst experience ever. The owner used a rubber stencil like a ruler to cut your hair and still makes a mess of it. A 5 year old could do a better job. Then I was charged 4 a half head of foil when i only had a quarter of a head. When I got home I had to cut the pieces they missed. 3 hours to look like crap. Also I got a previous quote before going & the price was doubled. Now I have to save up again before I can go get my fixed elsewhere. Very upset I hope my review saves others from going through this.

I think I was first disappointed with the fact that I had made an appointment with the principal hair stylist as he was recommended by a friend; however when I got there, I realised he had another client and another hair stylist was going to be the one to cut my hair. Seeing that I had no real expectation, I decided to give it a shot.
The hair stylist was friendly and gave me good advice on how I should dry my hair at home.
Overall, I don't hate my hair cut, but I certainly don't love it.
My friend who recommended this place continues to be a repeat customer, but would I go back? Probably not.
