The staff are bored or rushed and you can understand why...they work at a supermarket that is understaffed and so customers are always lined up especially in the express line! Some of the staff are really rude when you go to buy your food and obviously don't care at all, something that you should at least pretend to do when dealing with customers.

I found thids to be one of the better presented and organised Safeway Super markets that I have been in lately.
Staff were helpful, and knew where things were.
Deli looked ggood, and produce was nice and fresh.

I dropped in here recently to buy some smokes and found the young man on the express lane to be most unhelpful in telling me that I could NOT buy them via that register, but had to go around to the front section of the store (directly behind him!!!!!!). He was most adamant about that even when I said I'd only bought smokes from that register just a few days ago!! Eventually, a supervisor came over and promptly got smokes - both apologised - and the supervisor assured me that nothing had changed other than the chap misunderstood procedures regarding the sale of cigarettes. This is two bad experiences I have had with Safeway stores in regards to cigarettes. All I can hope for is that the new Camberwell Coles (when it opens) allows smokers to buy smokes hassle free!!!!! (No I'm not advocating for smoking either....its a horrible habit and a very hard one to break...!!)
