Asked for a simple trim; 1-2cm off to get rid of dead ends and encourage growth. Left with 2 inches less hair which is a lot considering I have very short hair to begin with. My hair was the only thing I liked about my appearance and she butchered it.

Today was my 6th visit to this hairdressing store. yes, you cannot book to a certain hairdresser and yes, you might be waiting for couple of minutes, but the service and the attitude are good, professional and so id my haircut! BTW, I'm senior and didn't have any issues with it either. Warmly recommended!

[Redacted inflammatory comment] Quite rude and even though I asked them to layer cut my hair they chopped it to pieces. The sides were u even. And referred to my age several times, as if it were some disease.

Would not go back. Asked for a trim and ended up with almost a 'shave' at the back it was so short. They need to listen to what the customer is asking for. Takes far too long and they are obviously about number of clients and not quality or customer care. Won't be back.

S&S Carindale is my favourite hair salon! I agree with the criticisms in the other reviews which say they can take a long time and often change the person working on your hair however they are located in a busy salon and have to accommodate a lot of drop in customers. I am more than happy to put up with this because the end result of my hair is always flawless! The hairdressers are very skilled and really take the time to understand the look I want to achieve. The prices are very reasonable too. If you have time to spare and are after a beautiful cut/colour I would highly recommend S&S hair as I have always left satisfied.

Carindale s+s is AMAZING!! I love the friendly staff they always go out of their way to make u feel good and really care about you I really love their prices and they always do a great job! If you need a pick me up you should definitely check them out :)

I got a half-head of foils and a haircut in mid Feb 2014. Not happy with this salon AT ALL. The process took 4 hours and three different staff attended to me and kept swapping with a 'I'll be right back is just going to take over now' repeatedly. My foils turned my roots blue/silver (I am naturally blonde so this was very noticeable) and I asked for a trim at the end, and the staff asked if I would like 'contouring' around my face which I did... Instead of contouring, the staff accidentally cut a large chunk out of one side of the front of my hair. It now looks like I have been growing out a fringe... but just on the one side! The staff styled it afterwards so it wasn't as noticeable but after getting home and my hair 'settling' into its usual place, it looks awful. I sent an email to the customer service email address on their website saying how unhappy I was but never got a response back. I wasn't even looking for a refund, just some sort of 'sorry we ruined your hair' message but nothing. Crappy customer service regarding their website email. The ladies at the salon were quite friendly but I am never going back. It is nice and cheap, my half-foils and trim cost just over $100.00, but unfortunately you get what you pay for in this case.

Recently went to S & S Carindale for a basic cut and colour. The management was my hairdresser; I found them rude, and blunt toward certain staff and other customers waiting. The service I recieved was quite attrocious to be honest. I had colour all over my face and neck - one staff applied it- a trainee i assume. As for the cut; i asked for a basic trim and apparantly that was too difficult also. All in all, definitely don't recommend it and would not return back.

As a former hairdresser, I am very picky about my haircut. However, being broke all the time doesn't really allow for a great deal of picky-ness. I first booked a style cut at S&S Carindale because of the amazing price, but what has got me returning is the quality of the haircut. I have paid double for cuts not even half as good. I highly recommend this as a place to go.

Not my kind of hairdressers, I waited a hours between treatments & in my oppinion a simple bleach & colour was far more than most places & ultimately was not the colour I wanted.
