Rowda Ya Habibi , fed Newtowns and students at Sydney Uni for 50 years. Always authentic fresh food at reasonable prices. For takeaway about $15, eat in $20
Approximate cost: $15
This is the best kebab shop on King Street. Good food (including baklava), very friendly owner and fast service.
This was a great cheap place to have a Lebanese banquet to catch up with friends on a Friday evening. The food was good, the staff friendly and the atmosphere isn't bad. The belly dancer (there every Friday night apparently) was a bit of a laugh, but slightly off-putting when we were trying to eat and chat, so I'm glad she didn't go on too long!
Approximate cost: $can't remember sorry! But it wasn't expensive.
The food here is lovely and the service is great. Perhaps the only thing that could be improved is an upgrade of the dining facilities. Otherwise a great little place
Rowda Ya Habibi is one of Newtown's hidden gems, great food, good service and ambience and cheap as dirt. It's great! Value for money. Food comes out timely. Consistently similar quality to food as well.
food wasn't the best ive had, price was ok for near the city. i would never go back again after i had the huge cockroach walk down the wall and on to my plate. i left my food on the table and left
Food here is pretty authentic (well, from what I know of middle eastern cuisine). We usually get the banquets which used to be about $20-$25 for about 5 or 6 dishes...and boy you get full from all the food! Try the rice with the vermicelli...it us delicious, we were so disappointed when we went back last time and they had run out! Service is pretty friendly and prompt too!
Approximate cost: $20
