Attended ER last night with a cyst on my hip in pretty bad pain. Nurses doctors and surgeons were extremely helpful. I was admitted for the night and I really felt as tho they all made a great effort to help me in my time of need. Best experience I’ve had in hospital to date. I’ve stayed in private hospitals and payed a fortune for surgery’s and procedures and not had close to the service I received last night and this morning. Very happy and feel as tho my faith in the public system has been restored. Thankyou to the nurses doctor and surgeons that helped me

Just want to say how wonderful Robina Hospital Emergency Department is! Efficient, caring & thorough in their examinations. I want to particularly mention Dr Karen..... a caring Vietnamese female Dr who did the BEST job at stitching up my head! It really looks like a fine line. Everyone did their job with expertise & efficiency. It’s a sad fact when I asked the head male nurse there if he liked his job. HIs answer..... ‘I really like caring for people but unfortunately we get abused a lot.’ WOW! Common decency & manners should be given to those helping us when we most need it. Well done Robina Emergency Department. You all do a fabulous job & it is appreciated.

Took my wife to ER a head injury at 9am parked right outside the doorway and she was seen by a doctor within 15 minutes. EXCELLENT service and extremely pleasant and competent staff.
Couldn't be happier with Robina Hospital.

Arrived by taxi as we waited 2 hours for an ambulance after my husband (who is on chemo with weeks, hopefully months to live) fell down the escalator and had about 12 deep lacerations to his arm, two which required more attention as they were about 3cm gash and 5cm gash). Got him inside and got him seated as he was very wobbly walking. Explained everything to a lovely receptionist and explained he'd need a bed and quickly as he spent about 18 hours asleep a day and most of the day in bed. She asked him some questions and within 20 minutes she had him in a room that closed off. And there we stayed for 7 hours !!!!!! It needed glued and bandaged. I watched nurses chat and drink coffee in the hall ways and sat and sat and sat somemore. After 7 hours my husband said he couldnt cope anymore and wanted to go back to the hotel so we left. Nice wave and smile as we left. A nurse COULD HAVE DONE THAT JOB. and the following day a nurse did do thqt job and from entering to leaving it took 20 minutes.

MY 2 year-old daughter got very bad fever and tosillitis last night. She can't sleep and kept on waking up. I rang 13-HEALTH number and was advised to bring my daughter to nearest hospital. We went to Robina Hospital at 11pm, after paperworks done, we're asked to wait outside to be called. We waited and waited for more than an hour. My child was really restless and crying while waiting, but still we were not accomodated after that long wait. We just decided to leave and go home. My child is really tired and needs to rest. My husband and I were also very tired and nothing was happening. We just went home and it is just very disappointing to me, when we were not being attended properly from this hospital, when you will see the people working there just chatting to each other and walking around taking there time. Will one day public hospitals system ever change for good?

Unfortunately the service you receive is dependant on the staff on at the time. I took my 2 year old daughter in and had the opposite experience. The staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough to ensure her well being.

Thank you Aubrey, for an honest and detailed account of your experience. Reeces
