Worst hair experience ever. Having been blonde for 6 years (naturally mid brunette) I fancied a change and went on a few good reviews of this place. Went down there with a couple of pics of various celebrities with lovely warm chestnutty/golden brown hair. Asked for a mid brown with golden brown lights through the ends. think jennifer garner. ended up with hair not far off black in colour - i am very pale in the face and so looked like the walking dead. furthermore the golden lights i asked for where basically a bunch of whiteish coloured stripes down my hair making me resemble a skunk. also the lights were not even done evenly so i had the odd blotch or blob of whitish blonde here and there which was SO noticeable considering its white on almost black! i went home thinking, i can TRY and get used to it but ven my boyfriend who prefers me darker, said it was awful. i went back next day and told her sorry, but its nothing like what i asked for. i appreciate they cant always recreate exactly what you show them/pics of celebs whatever. but they just hve to TELL the client this, and then the client can make a decision! If she ghad said she could only get me to a few shades from black i would just have had my blonde highlights redone! she proceeded to do even more of the white streaks to try and lighten the hair which was disastrous. she reprocessed someof the existing ones and my hair basically started snapping off from the midlengths. it took me 6 years of having highlights to get my hair back to a lovely condition - it was the healthiest its been thanks to my great hairdresser in london. and now its worse than ever. frizzy, dry, broken all over the place. thankfully it is now blonde again at least i have the colour if not hte condition. the girls at the salon in the grace hotel cbd sorted that for me. yes it was my choice to mess wiht the colour but you are putting your hair in the hands of a professional and TRUSTING THEM. furthermore it cost me 320 there, and another 180 at the grace hotel to get the colour sorted. anyway the grace hotel will be my permanent hairdressers now!!! i have no idea how the person who did my hair even got qualified and has gotten away with doing hair for so many years?!?!

omg i love this salon my friend works in surry hills and told me to go to redz colourbox i love there new salon its so cool and classy they have just moved into 152 devonshire st matthew was my stylist he is irish and an amazing hairdresser i had a restyle and full head of easi meche highlights its the new way to foil your hair and it takes half the time of foils i love the result asye know there is alot of salons in surry hills and this to me is the best there so down to earth and not in your face hairdressers and they dont try to upsell you things like most salon in surry hills im never leavin if im as happy with my hair so will you :) give them a call
