This place specialises in teeth whitening and is therefore cheaper than getting your teeth whitened by a regular dentist. From my very first phone call, I received very helpful and friendly assistance from Jan the receptionist/manager. Andrea the dental hygienist was very gently and patient when doing my teeth. Because my teeth were already pretty white (I'd started using the Colgate White Max in the last several weeks, which worked pretty well for me), I didn't see a huge difference in the result, but from the before and after photos, it was clear my teeth were at least two or three shades lighter than my original colour. I got near, but could not get to the very highest possible whiteness - apparently many people are unable to do so. I'd say it's definitely worth it, however, if you have significant discolouration in your teeth.

So much for the result - now for the process. It was very uncomfortable! I would get regular zings of pain going through my teeth, and a little bit of the cream would seep to the back of my throat, which caused a burning sensation. I was prepared for this, however, based on other reviews I'd read. The pain in my teeth went away in about 12 hours. I made sure to make my appointment towards the end of the day, so I could sleep during most of the recovery process. Tip: Don't overdose on panadeine! I got a bit funny later.

Not only that, but I lost my voice that night and could not speak at all the next day!! Andrea kindly called me to check up later and said she was sure it was just from dryness from having my mouth open so long (they have to keep your mouth open throughout the teeth whitening process), but I'm convinced it was the cream burning my throat. This was a disaster as my wedding was the day after. Luckily, the day after, my voice came back, although still croaky. My recommendation: Book an appointment well in advance of any events where you will need your voice!

Other than these drawbacks, I was very happy with the result and service I received.
