Not looking after customer at all.. going there for 3 year at least once a week(on average $200-400 a week) and some of the employees are nice..but in general not .
Today they have a power outage and eftpos was out... long story short.. i was missing $12 ....
Lady on the cashier, that knows im a regular customer , just coldly advised me that she can take a card and pretty much see u later......
So yes see you later provical meats... a lot later

No longer gives customer service. Sent dad to get TBones with fillets and butcher refused to cut them. He came home with TBones no fillets. I went to Coles and bought what I wanted gave these to dad to freeze. Cannot support local business if they refuse to supply what is requested. Really Disappointed in the service no complaints about quality.

Yes it has only been since the change, not sure if it was management or owner change. Staff still good just seems to be the butcher who decides what meat cuts will or won't be offered

Sad to hear this as these local shops can only compete against the big shops ie: Coles/Woolies with service.

Great service, very low prices expecially on chicken breast fillets. Mince meat is very cheap and no hard bits. Since moving to Mernda I haven't gone anywhere else for my meats.

Approximate cost: $60.00

Wether its milk, bread, fruit & veg or meats, Provincial Meats is a one stop shop. Their prices are great. I love taking my rotisserie there ordering my meat to be put onto it. You can purchase you meat already on trays or vacuum sealed (which they are more than happy to slice for you if its a full porterhouse or simular). Its very cold in there so make sure you have a jacket :)

This is better to hear about a local shop and how to compete against the likes of Coles/ Woolworths.

Large butcher close to home. Large variety of well priced meat and service here has always been fast and friendly. My wife likes going here better than some big butchers in Thomastown area.

We shop here quite regularly for our meat and produce. The fruit and vegetables are generally of a very high quality and nicely presented. The prices are quite good. The meat is well priced and of good quality. They also have a good selection of other products - pasta, cheeses etc. The service is generally quite good - but can depend on who happens to be working that day as I have had on occasion been ignored at the meat counter and on other days they can't go out of their way far enough to assist you. I would highly reccomend them for their high quality products and good prices - they also have ample parking which is great if you just need to duck in and grab a few items for dinner. Be aware that sometimes they only have one cashier open and depending on the register they use they may only take cash - I was not aware of this one day and they had only one register open and when I went to pay I was told I needed to pay cash - luckily I had some. Generally on weekends when it is busier they have both registers open and you can pay with cash or card.
