what makes this B&B special to me is the easy access to the out doors. it has a lovely garden that makes an extra room - we had our breakfast outside under the shade of a magnificent oak tree. In the evening we sat near a little fish pond. we have stayed in the centre of Canberra but found the noise too much. However we discovered that visiting the art gallery etc was a pleasant short drive (or bike ride - they have good bicycles at the ready) away. Starting the day with a freshly cooked breakfast - herbs from the garden - enjoyable and very reasonably priced. the room and bed was spacious and comfortable. Luba and Chris were thoughtful without any fuss. If you want a relaxing well appointed B&B I recommend Practically Lakeside without hesitation
