This caravan park is packed to the rafters over the christmas period, but it's so close to everything the noise is worth the location. Cheap, close, what more could you want

This is the best caravan park in Port Fairy, in my opinion. It's small - although it gets crowded in summer of course. But it has a great atmosphere where you feel more at home than the other large one on the highway, although that's fine too. But The Gardens is just that little bit different.

It's in a great location, walking distance into town and the East beach is just a very short walk up a hill right in front of the gate.

There's a variety of sites - nice tree line for tents and shade, plus cabins. Amenities include playground, camp kitchen, laundry facilities are good. Sites are from $24 a night depending on power and how many people. We put up two smaller tents on one site and that was okay with them.

The town is wonderful of course to walk around, visiting the lighthouse and Mutton Bird island. And if you want to go in the Folk Festival season ( 8th - 13th March) make sure you book ahead.

It's a family place we've been coming to for years and the family have grown larger with each subsequent trip. We all love coming here, it's a special place.
