Talk about blast from the past! I went here with a group of friends on the weekend (yes we are in our 20s!!) and we had the best time. Such a flash back to our childhoods. I remember my birthday party at Plaster Fun House when I was 9 years old, gosh it was so fun.
We felt a bit silly when we walked in but the staff told us that we were definitely not the only ones to relive our childhood (and when we got into the painting area we realised that we were in fact one of three other groups of adults painting!)
I had the best time and I'm so proud of my masterpiece :)
Staff were friendly and helpful and we had a lot of laughs with them. I'm going back next weekend for sure!

Approximate cost: $10ish

I love this place! I used to go here as a kid and remember loving it. Now I am an adult I sometimes go with just a group of girlfriends or I bring my 9 year old niece with me and I'm never certain which one of us enjoys it more :)
For about $20 we can both enjoy ourselves for a whole afternoon, so cheap!
Even though I live so close to the Unley store, my friends and I always choose to go for a drive to Brighton. The paints are way better (and ALWAYS clean because they give you your own set which is awesome!), the models are much better quality, the glaze they put on after is so much shinier, and the staff there are so nice and seem to really know what they are doing-you get really clear instructions and they are great with my niece, they have heaps more choice of things you can decorate with which is my favourite part. I love it.
They also have a mural that they are painting and I like going to see what has been done since last time (and I want to have a go painting a bit myself but I'm not sure that it is allowed!)
I love Plaster Fun House, I'm thinking of having my 25th birthday party there...if I can!

Approximate cost: $10

My daughter went here on a birthday party. She really enjoyed it and had a great little painted plaster shape to bring home. For the birthday party they were limited on the sized of the plaster but all the kids were happy anyway. Food was supplied and it was something different for them to do.

A fun place for the kids to get creative. They do great kids parties and have enough moulds for every one to choose something they like. It's quite expensive, especially if you have a tribe, but it's a great school holiday treat.

Have been here with my daughter several times now in the school holidays and for her friends birthday partys. Great fun for the kids very old inside not as nice as unleys. Staff are not as friendly as well especially to the kids. Wont go back any more i will stick to unleys instead.

Hey annae75, I find the complete opposite! I would choose Brighton over Unley anyday. Funny how I live closer to Unley and you live closer to Brighton yet we would go to the one furthest away from us :)

My friends and I just feel that Unley is a real "baby" store and not suited to adults at all. I guess as we get older we become more picky with quality! Their paints are kindy quality, their models have SO many bubbles in them and they don't even have adult size smocks which me and my friends need because we are, well, adults!

I heard on the grapevine anyway that Unley is closing down...

So much fun for kids and adults!! My daughter had her birthday party here last month and the kids had an absolute ball! There are heaps of moulds to choose from and its really fun and creative getting to design and paint your own creations. Really reasonable prices too and they offer very good deals on kids birthday parties compared to a lot of other places!!
