Went here for a night to get away from every thing. Found the place easily, It was like a paradise, so beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are huge. Bed was comfortable. Food was good. Great value for money. My husband and I went mid week, so it was not so busy at all. They have great deals for mid week bookings. I found out they do conferences and weddings. It would be great for a wedding, with the lovely opportunities for great photo shots.

This is such a romantic place to go to. Or if you are on your own and just want peace and quiet this is for you. Their scones are freshly cooked as you wait, Usually takes 20 mins. Their coffee is really nice. Ive have main meals here before as well. A little small but tastes great. You can pick any room thats vacant and just take it easy. This place is really worth the look. It is so popular with weddings.

I love the southern highlands! Beautiful scenery, cold winters, and a huge number of old, beautiful buildings. If you're anything like me, this will be the best place to stay. Excellent staff, amazing scenery, and beautiful rooms. A little bit expensive, but well worth it!

I agree with you. And the music room to relax and have tea and scones. Just a beautiful peaceful place.

We stayed two nights and could easily have stayed another two. The mock Scottish baronial castle look within the public rooms were great! The music room had the best heater of all and the log fire near the leather sofas was really pumping out the heat. It's a pity the billiard room couldn't be accessed when the Massage Room was occupied. We retreated to the Tattinger Room but found a family and their toys were taking up roost by the fire. The restaurant meal (one hatted) made up for any disappointing areas of this hotel. The brunch was superb. The walks around the golf course were enjoyed with little traffic to observe. The golfers' cafe upstairs in the clubhouse just has to be seen with its tartan wall paper and hot dog stand. Our only real gripe was the set of billiard queues which were far too long for the room size.

Sounds like you enjoyed it as much as me! So unique.
