Paddington Markets are really lovely. The school where its held is beautiful and its lovely to wander in amongst the stalls.

The stalls tend to be very designer and this can mean that the prices are on the higher end of the scale but seeing as the majority of the products are hand made it feels reasonable.

I love markets and I remember Paddington markets as being very exciting full of lots of second hand treasures as well as home made delights and crafts! I love the ecclectic range of wares and Im feeling very inspired for a saturday morning stroll through the exciting stalls very soon!

When I first reviewed this business I thought it was Paddy's Haymarket (oops! sorry!) but when I googled it I realised I can still review it!
I love markets like these. I have a time table for como, rocks, etc market times. I haven't been to this market much because it's quite far from the Shire. Markets are meant to be fun and quirky. All markets like these with arts and crafts (my main reason to visit) are delightful and fun.
Sometimes things can be a bit expensive because the stallholders aren't part of a big corporation and the cost of materials and etc. It's fine because it's all part of the experience.
The service and product variety and quality vary from stall to stall.

Hi Musingonlife,

Can I just confirm that this is the same market located on Oxford St in Paddington? It seems as though you are referring to Paddy's market in Haymarket. These are two completely different markets. At Paddington Markets, our point of difference is Australia Made products. We do not have an association with Paddy's Market and sadly many make the mistake of this.

Kind regards,
Paddington Markets

Its very hard to give a fair rating above as some stall holders are so bored and look as if your an inconvenience and others are extremly friendly and helpful. As with the quality and value it varies from one stall to another, the only real fair way would be for someone to get all the inviduals details and enter them as independant businesses that they are and rate them.
But having said all that I can reveiw the paddington markets as a whole, they are exciting, with a good variety of items, its now till August that is the best time to go as the crowds are less in Winter months and the food and hot drinks more welcome.
Love the arts and crafts and have bought some lovely shirts here the thin cotton ones which show off my muscles. This palce has become an icon must visit at least once market and is up there with the best.

Approximate cost: $Varies

Fantastic market in Sydney. Paddington is my favourite markets out of all the markets that happens in and around Sydney. They have great items for independent designers and you can always find something unique here!

The place is quite big and have a lot of fantastic vintage clothing stalls and jewellery stalls. I bought a lovely dress here last time and because my friend wasn't sure whether she wanted to get something herself, the stall owner offered us both a discount if she ended purchasing it, which was fantastic!

You can find a lot of vintage clothing and unique printed tees here as well. If you're looking to buy someone a unique gift or even looking for a fantastic deal, definitely stop here!

Approximate cost: $25

Beautiful crafts, jewellery, art and more - lots of variety and all reasonably priced. Great to bring visitors to Sydney to or to buy special and original presents for friends and family.

very boring because there isnt alot to buy, staff are not very helpful, my favourite part was the gem stores and hand made jewellery. very crowded with lots of people.

Like any market you need to take your time searching for those to die for one-of-a-kind items, same goes here. You can find pretty cool stuff here if you look hard enough. Great way to spend a beautiful Saturday day.

This market is on every Saturday. I think it's a cut above the average market, there are some real gems here. But some ordinary stuff too. Still I find it's always a good way to spend an hour when visitors are in town, and I generally end up buying something myself. There are some great clothes (if you hunt them out), handbags, hats, baby clothes and a girl who does amazing ceramic vases up the back of the market. Can get insanely busy on sunny days.
