What a lovely and wonderful resort which is a handy walk to many cafes and restaurants in the Centre of Byron Bay.

At Outrigger Bay they offer lovely and comfortable two and three bedroom self contained apartments. We stayed in a two bedroom and it was lovely. The apartments are open plan, modern and very comfortable All the apartments offer a well equipped kitchen and laundry with all the modern conveniences.

Byron Bay is a lovely place to stay we always enjoy our stays here.

Clean and tidy, lovely accommodation just out of the thick of it so location-ally speaking this is a good spot to stay. It's a little expensive.

As a group of four (two couples) we spent two nights at Outrigger Bay for a long weekend. Awesome location in Byron, walking distance to Johnson Street and direct beach access from accommodation at back of property. The resort is beautifully presented with lush gardens and all units surrounding the central pool area. Parking is provided underground and arranged so that your car spot is in close proximity to your unit on ground level. Very convenient for carrying bags to and from! Staff were down to earth, polite, friendly and accommodating. When asked if they had a beach ball we could hire (as we'd forgotten our own) we were given body boards and cricket bats to borrow, no charge. For the price we were a little put out to find one of the blinds missing on the front bedroom, leaving the room totally visible to all. However this was promptly fixed by staff when informed. Our unit was also one of the last awaiting renovation of the kitchen and bathroom, so were a little worn. And the pool during our visit was covered to conserve heat as it was possibly a little cold to swim. Staff told us about this when we checked in and were happy to remove the cover if we wanted, but all the same it would have been nice just to see the water and swim on a whim if desired without being an inconvenience. I guess again that comes down to price. When you pay big you expect big. But the beds were extremely comfy, the premises clean, inviting, homely and the grounds quiet and secure. They have free Austar and wireless Internet available ($7.50 per hour) and staff were great when booking and during our stay. I'd definitely go back.

Approximate cost: $170 per night
