We are big meat lovers in this house! so a trip to outback jacks recently was a no brainer. I had the Skippy Dundee for something a little bit different its crocodile and kangaroo on skewers served with chutney. Its actually a starter but i had it as my main. Very yummy but it is a little pricey for what you get. Hubby had the ribs which he loved, in fact he spent the next few days raving about them. Its a nice lively atmosphere here, the food is nice and they offer a lot of choice, service was good and we had a really nice time. The only negative is that its quite pricey for what you actually get.

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner. I'm not the sort of person that goes out and orders steak for dinner, so it wasn't my first choice.
Anyway, I ordered a steak burger and it was just alright, nothing special. All the other food seemed to be okay too, I didn't hear any obvious complaints but the serves were a little stingy for the prices being charged.
The service was also a little slow and we were there on a Monday night.
All in all, not bad, just nothing special

Overall very disappointing. It took over an hour to receive our meals although it wasn't overly busy in the restaurant. When the meals came out, the steaks were cold, not cooked to our liking, the fries were cold and the staff didn't seem to want to know about it. The only upside was the prompt drink service.

Food ordering was a bit slow and one of our meals was omitted from order, it was 'rushed' and supplied free. The whole staff / order process seemed a bit vague. I had to almost jump up and down to place a second drink order. Thankfully the food was very well prepared and tasty.

I was not as impressed as I thought I would be, mostly because of the prices and partly because of the food, the steak was not cooked the way I wanted, it was too charred on the outside. However, that said the entree of spiced calamari was amazing and the serving sizes were quite huge. It may have been a matter of the one time thing with the steak, but overall I think I would give them another go before I completly ruled them out.

The entree was a lot smaller then expected for both myself and my partner. The kangaroo was very disappointing, however, the squid was perfect.
The steaks were good quality and I was impressed that both my medium-rare and my partners well-done steaks came out together and were perfectly cooked.

We were excited about our first trip to Outback Jack's HOWEVER and I don't say this lightly - the service and food left A LOT to be desired. Staff were slow and rather bland, the food was slow and no where near the standard I had expected. The menu is extensive but I have come to think that anywhere that needs a menu with that many items on it is probably not doing most of it well. I will not try this chain again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Great service, friendly people, great food and experience- will tell everyone know about Outback Jacks and let them have the same experience I did

Great food at expected prices. Large cocktails for $12. Their motto of 'best steaks in town' fell a bit short - with my son-in-laws steak medium steak looking a bit rarer than medium. Prawn cocktails were amazing. The ringing of the bell when someone started the larger steaks was a bit annoying. I asked for a dessert menu, but they never brought it, so we left. Also, it would at the back.
